Health and medical equipment
Several of our guides discuss CPAP machines and battery power for them. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
CPAP therapy is prescribed by a clinician for a medical condition. Do not change your therapy, your pressure settings, your humidifier use, or how you power your machine based on something you read here. Talk to your doctor or your equipment provider first.
If you have questions about your own health, your apnoea, or what happens if your therapy is interrupted, those questions belong with your clinician, not with a gear website.
Product information, specifications and fitment
We take accuracy seriously and work from manufacturer documentation wherever we can. Even so:
- Specifications change without notice. Manufacturers revise products, and a model number may not describe the same item a year later.
- Fitment is your responsibility to confirm. Trailer couplers, wheels, axles, receivers, batteries and CPAP machines vary enormously. Before buying anything, check the manufacturer’s own fitment information against your equipment.
- Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions that come with a product, including any warnings and weight, size or compatibility limits. Where our guidance and a manufacturer’s instructions differ, follow the manufacturer.
- Star ratings, review counts and availability change constantly and are accurate only as of the time of writing.
Safety
Some of what we write about involves real hazards, electrical systems, batteries, towing, generators, carbon monoxide, and working around a parked trailer.
We include safety information where we believe it helps, but our coverage is not exhaustive and is not a safety manual. It cannot anticipate your equipment, your conditions, or your experience. If a job is beyond you, have it done by a professional.
Product recalls happen. We mention recalls we are aware of, but we do not monitor them systematically. Check with the manufacturer, and with the relevant regulator, for the current status of anything you own.
